Error description

  • IBM Explorer for z/OS 3.1.1.15 shows GDG file corrupted when it
is opened using Json Editor. The GDG opened file does not
correctly inherit the mapping defined for its Generation Data
    Group.

Local fix

  • Change the mapping by selecting other and the same value
of 'inherit from system mapping' on the properties for the
    corrupted file.

Problem summary

  • A GDG data set does not inherit the correct mapping defined for
    its Generation Data Group.

Problem conclusion

  • The mapping properties for a GDG data set were not being updated
     due to a caching bug.

Temporary fix
