Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS HALDB Toolkit V1.1. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR enables the batch functions *
    * and the ISPF functions of IMS HALDB *
    * Toolkit to run in the IMS-managed ACBs *
    *                      environment.                            *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR enables the following batch functions and the ISPF
functions of IMS HALDB Toolkit to run in the IMS-managed ACBs
    environment.
Batch functions; CONVERT, Loading logical children (PROCOPT=L)
    ISPF functions;
     0 Setup Utilities
     1 Add-Delete-Change Environment
     2 Select an Environment
     3 Projects in Progress
4 Convert from Full Function to HALDB
6 Split or Consolidate HALDB Partitions
     7 Database Utilities
8 Other Utilities - 3 Partition Selection Exit Test Utility
     9 DBRC for HALDB

When you use the batch and ISPF CONVERT function in the
IMS-managed ACBs environment, the PTF of the IMS V15 APAR
    PH17441 is required.

In addition, the following fixes have been applied in this APAR.
The fixes are effective regardless of whether the IMS management
of ACBs is enabled or not.
    - When running ISPF functions and adding a new environment,
max 6 data sets for RESLIB can be specified in Data sets
      panel.
    - Expand each item of Exception details in HALDB Analyzer
report to include billions in segment count.
    - When running batch CONVERT/MAINTAIN, the IMS management of
ACBs is NOT enabled and a catalog database is registered
in RECON, NOCATALG option is added for INIT.DB/INIT.PART
      command to avoid errors.
    - PGM of sample JCLs IHCECLON, IHCECOPY and IHCEDFDS for
running IHCYDBR0 is changed from PGM=IHCWHALD to PGM=IHCYUTIL
      to avoid ABENDS0C1.
