PH22147: THE CHCMDMUT FAILS WHEN TRYING TO CREATE MULTIPLE TABLES IN A UNIVERSAL TABLE SPACE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• With DB2 Function Level V12R1M504, CREATE TABLESPACE will only
  create Universal Table Spaces (UTS).  By design, a UTS can
  contain only a single table.  The CHCMDMUT creates only two
  table spaces and attempts to create more than two meta-data
  tables in them.  As of V12R1M504, the CHCMDMUT will be unable to
  create the meta-data tables.
  

Local fix

• Add APPLCOMPAT(V12R1M503) on the three BIND PACKAGE statements
  in the CHCMDMBD sample JCL.  Run it and then rerun the CHCMDMUT
  sample JCL.

  create the metadata tables if the DB2 Function Level is
  V12R1M504 or higher.
  

Problem conclusion

• CDC Metadata Utility Logic should be improved to support UTS.
  

Temporary fix

• Add APPLCOMPAT(V12R1M503) on the three BIND PACKAGE statements
  in the CHCMDMBD sample JCL. Run it and then rerun the CHCMDMUT.
