    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    1) Starting multiple CQM and/or STAP collectors at same time
can cause overlays in CSA storage areas.

    2) CQM can not provide the samples in SCQMSAMP with unique
indexes as it is not known what exact data can be on customer's
side and so it is impossible to select right set of columns.
Every customer who wants to use unique indexes should select
columns himself based on his workloads.
But SCQMSAMP members refer to unique indexes.

    3) The comments for EXCEPTION_ANOMALIES, ALERT_ANOMALIES,
ANOMALIES were missed when CQMALT16 was created.

    4) By default, the second run of A0CNTFL will delete already
created CONTROL datasets and all Db2 ssids' information which
    was already added into it.

    5) TCz generated the same name for jobs which are created by
REXX part in jobs B0WDBAA, B1@LSTAA, B5VRUNAA for all DB2.
Which means that the jobs will correspond to the Db2 ssid with
    latest run.

    6) TCz did not validate fields "Started task proclib",
"DB2 control file", "DB2 interval file", "DB2 profile file",
"Parameter file data set name", "High-level qualifier for
interval offload", "Batch Report data sets high-level
qualifier", "Startup CLIST library". That can cause creating
jobs which can not be run, if the customer did not understand
what values are expected in these fields.

    7) TCz A4BINDxx job includes BIND PACKAGE statements and BIND
PLAN statement. BIND PLAN does not have OWNER keyword while all
    BIND PACKAGE statements have.

Problem conclusion

  • 1) Improved serialization during collector startup.

    2) Update SCQMSAMP members not to mention unique indexes.

    3) Update SCQMSAMP members to have correct comments for
    EXCEPTION_ANOMALIES, ALERT_ANOMALIES, ANOMALIES.

    4) TCz A0CNTFL job has detailed instruction of its usage.

    5) Association with Db2 is added in modules CQM@LSTM, CQM@WDB2,
CQMVRUN in order to avoid the same names of jobs.

    6) The check for names correctness was added.

    7) TCz A4BINDxx job and CQMBIND member in SCQMSAMP are updated
to provide OWNER for BIND PLAN.
