Error description

  • When the Out of Memory error occurs and a heapdump is written a
memory leak might be seen as following...

    com.ibm.ejs.j2c.MCWrapper @ 0x7fe3e3468 Unknown
    \ com.ibm.ws.pmi.server.modules.J2CModule @ 0x611afc690
    .\ java.util.Hashtable @ 0x611b00b48
    ..\ java.util.Hashtable$Entry[393215] @ 0x78e06b0c8

    com.ibm.ws.pmi.server.modules.J2CModule owns this
hashtable which contains references to these MQ JMS objects.
Because this J2CModule is never cleaned up it will lead to Out
    of Memory problems.

The J2CModule can hold on to connection objects references
when threads are interrupteed. The following may be in the
    heap dump. com.ibm.ejs.j2c.MCWrapper @ 0x7fe3e3468 Unknown
    \ com.ibm.ws.pmi.server.modules.J2CModule @ 0x611afc690
    .\ java.util.Hashtable @ 0x611b00b48
    ..\ java.util.Hashtable$Entry[393215] @ 0x78e06b0c8

Problem conclusion

  • When threads are interrupted and PMI is enabled for
connections, the main object reference is now set to null.
