Error description

  • Started receiving the following message.

    DFHSO0001 CICSREGN An
abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset X'1A4A' in module
    DFHSOIS.

This is happening during a Build_Transaction call
that is part of a Invoke_Pthread for invoking a java program.
During the Build_Transaction there is a call to DFHSOIS for an
Inquire. This code assumes there is a transaction environment
(TXN). But there is not. So the Socket Token is loaded from
low-core +x'150' and this value (04040001) is treated like a
socket token. The 0404 happens to be a valid free socket token.
    That leads to the 0C4.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND0C4 in DFHSOIS when processing *
    * the URIMAP resource during DFHSJJS *
    *                      BUILD_TRANSACTION time.                 *
    ****************************************************************
A HTTPS request comes into CICS Liberty JVM server. A matched
URIMAP resource is found. When handling URIMAP during DFHSJJS
BUILD_TRANSACTION time, no transaction environment is not
considered in SO domain, causing the OC4 abend.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed to consider no transaction environment in
SO domain during DFHSJJS BUILD_TRANSACTION time.
