Error description

  • In the CICS WUI region, an alias host name is set up for the
real host name. The DFHSJ1414I message is issued to indicate the
EYUCMCIJ JVM server HTTP endpoint is enabled:
    .
DFHSJ1414I date time applid JVMSERVER jvmserver The CMCI JVM
server HTTP endpoint is now enabled on httpEndPoint
    .
This message is written with the real host name. We would
prefer if the alias host name. This APAR is to alter this
message to not include the host name but the port similar to:
    .
DFHSJ1414I date time applid JVMSERVER jvmserver The CMCI JVM
server HTTP endpoint is now enabled on Port:xxxxx

    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The httpEndpoint in message DFHSJ1414I *
    * can show a hostname other than the *
    *                      specified TCPIPHOSTNAME.                *
    ****************************************************************
When using the CMCI JVM server, if the TCPIPADDRESS parameter is
not specified and there are multiple host names defined,
message DFHSJ1414I reflects the default host name returned by
    the default TCPIP stack.
This can be misleading when it is not the name of the specified
    TCPIPHOSTNAME.

Problem conclusion

  • Message DFHSJ1414I has been changed so that the httpEnpoint
contains the hostname only when TCPIPADDRESS has been specified.
