Error description
In WebSphere Application Server V8.5.5 a buslink is configured between 2 messaging engines. The jvm hosting the remote messaging engine is intentionally shutdown. The jvm hosting the local messaging engine repeatedly attempts to establish a connection to the remote messaging engine to get the buslink started. The JMS application that is connected to the local messaging engine continuously produces messages to the destination over the buslink. This leads to a large number of open sockets. When the buslink is stopped the socket count drops drastically. The following errors are logged in the systemout.log: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: java.io.IOException: Too many open files at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(AccessController.jav a:707) at com.ibm.ws.ffdc.impl.FfdcProvider.logIncident(FfdcProvider.java: 183) at com.ibm.ws.ffdc.impl.FfdcProvider.logIncident(FfdcProvider.java: 145) at com.ibm.ffdc.util.provider.FfdcProvider.log(FfdcProvider.java:30 0) at com.ibm.ws.ffdc.impl.FfdcProvider.log(FfdcProvider.java:255) at com.ibm.ffdc.util.provider.IncidentEntry.log(IncidentEntry.java: 106) at com.ibm.ffdc.util.provider.Ffdc.log(Ffdc.java:95) at com.ibm.ws.ffdc.FFDCFilter.processException(FFDCFilter.java:128) at com.ibm.ws.hamanager.coordinator.dcs.HostNameMap.updateAddresses (HostNameMap.java:158) at com.ibm.ws.hamanager.coordinator.dcs.HostNameMapManager$IPRefres her. alarm(HostNameMapManager.java:134) at com.ibm.ejs.util.am._Alarm.runImpl(_Alarm.java:151) at com.ibm.ejs.util.am._Alarm.run(_Alarm.java:136) at com.ibm.ws.util.ThreadPool$Worker.run(ThreadPool.java:1892) Caused by: java.io.IOException: Too many open files at java.io.File.createTempFile(File.java:2035) at com.ibm.ws.ffdc.impl.FfdcProvider$1.run(FfdcProvider.java:186) at com.ibm.ws.ffdc.impl.FfdcProvider$1.run(FfdcProvider.java:184) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(AccessController.jav a:703) CWSIP0291W: An attempt to send a message to exception destination _SYSTEM.Exception.Destination.XXX.Messaging.000-XXXBus on messaging engine XXX.Messaging.000-XXXBus failed due to the following : com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.exceptions.SIMPLimitExceededException: CWSIK0025E: The destination _SYSTEM.Exception.Destination. Local fix
Set the initial state of the buslink to "stopped".
