PH16591: DIFFICULT TROUBLESHOOTING IF REQUIRED BIND NOT RUN AFTER UPGRADETO DB2 V12

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• (HPU 4.3 only) After a Db2 subsystem or datasharing group has
  been upgraded to V12, if the INZBIND customization job has not
  been run as required, unpredicatble errors with no obvious
  relationship with the missing BIND can occur when running Db2
  HPU. This occurs only if Db2 HPU was bound before the upgrade of
  the Db2 subsystem or datasharing group.
  One of the possible errors is a failure with the INZI010E
  message.
  The lack of relationship between the issue and the root cause
  make troubleshooting difficult.
  Db2 HPU should detect and more clearly report such a situation.
  

Local fix

• None but submitting the INZBIND customization job prevents the
  inconsistent behavior from occurring.
