APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IBM Developer for System z (IDz) : IDz 14.1.6 and 14.1.7
When selecting a PDS in the remote system view and run a search
on it from the popup menu, the search window is populated and
the list in the Remote System view is updated with (part of)
the resut of the search.

Local fix

  • Run search from the main menu.

Problem summary

  • The Remote System view unexpectedly gets updated with results
from an MVS search.  The Remote System view should not get
updated with search results.

Problem conclusion

  • There was a performance fix that changed the event type for
events that get fired when resolving a member from a query.
During the handling search results, there is a method that
prevents the Remote Systems view from receiving these events
however it was preventing the original event type and not the
new event type.
