Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EXCI application suffers one bit        *
*                      storage violation.                      *
****************************************************************
A CICS EXCI application which uses Channels and Containers
can suffer a storage violation, setting the X'01' bit off
in a random byte of storage.
In the reported case, a machine code instruction in the
application program was altered.
In laboratory testing, a byte within the LE CAA (Addressed by
Register 12) was altered.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHXCBAM has been altered to remove the code that validates the
container storage.
