  Compile-time message IGYDS1348-W issued for data items
  containing an even number of digits of precision.
  However, for data items that contain 18 digits of precision,
  the logical remedy would be to use 19 digits of precision but
  that is not allowed when the ARITH(COMPAT) option is in effect.
