APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Running LOAD with PACING=1.0 and MAXWAIT 00:00:15 (or any small
MAXWAIT) causes PACING not to wait (or pace as expected).

PACING < 1.0 and PACING > 1.0 does work fine.
Also PACING=1.0 with MAXWAIT or 10 minutes or more also works
    fine.

This is a duplicate of a canceled APAR PI89180. It has been
determined that this needed to be addressed after all.

Local fix

  • Change PACING to be more or less than 1.0 or adjust MAXWAIT
    as described above.

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Install the APAR to have pacing work as *
    * expected and set in control cards *
    ****************************************************************
Specifying PACING=1.0 did not reinsert the data set at the same
rate that they were originally inserted. The duration of
reinsertion was much quicker, or twice as long as the original
    time.

    END statement issues an error.

Problem conclusion

  • Install the APAR to receive the fix to the PACING statement and
    END statement.
