Error description
During REORG INDEX, some displays are not providing expected information for that index (IXYYYYYY). . Example 1) : -DSN DIS DB(DBXXXXXX) SP(*) LIMIT(*) USE ONLY DSNT360I -DSN *********************************** DSNT361I -DSN * DISPLAY DATABASE SUMMARY 780 * GLOBAL USE DSNT360I -DSN *********************************** DSNT362I -DSN DATABASE = DBXXXXXX STATUS = RW DBD LENGTH = 238232 DSNT397I -DSN 783 NAME TYPE PART STATUS CONNID CORRID USERID -------- ---- ----- ------- -------- ---------- -------- ******** NO SPACES FOUND ******* DISPLAY OF DATABASE DBXXXXXX ENDED ********** . In the DIS USE ONLY the expected index is not in the list. Example 2) : -DSN DIS DB(DBXXXXXX) SP(*) LIMIT(*) RESTRICT USE DSNT360I -DSN *********************************** DSNT361I -DSN * DISPLAY DATABASE SUMMARY 590 * RESTRICTED USE DSNT360I -DSN *********************************** DSNT362I -DSN DATABASE = DBXXXXXX STATUS = RW 592 DBD LENGTH = 238232 DSNT397I -DSN 593 NAME TYPE PART STATUS CONNID CORRID USERID -------- ---- ----- -------- -------- ---------- -------- IXYYYYYY IX L0001 RW,UTRW -THRU 0006 IXYYYYYY IX L* ******* DISPLAY OF DATABASE DBXXXXXX ENDED ********* . In the DIS RESTRICT USE the expected index is present but not the corrid / userid .

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All Db2 11 and 12 for z/OS users who use * * Display Database command with USE or * * RESTRICT USE keyword. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Display database USE or RESTRICT USE * * command issued on non partitioned * * secondary index during REORG INDEX * * gives unexpected results. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available. * **************************************************************** During REORG INDEX for non partitioned secondary index(NPI), Display database command with USE or RESTRICT USE keyword does not provide expected information for the NPI. Db2 does not return correct NPI claims/drains information internally. This causes the display database command to not reflect the NPI index related information in the list. Here is an example: -db2adis db(DB42PCT) SP(*) RESTRICT USE DSNT360I -DB2A *********************************** DSNT361I -DB2A * DISPLAY DATABASE SUMMARY * RESTRICTED USE DSNT360I -DB2A *********************************** DSNT362I -DB2A DATABASE = DB42PCT STATUS = RW DBD LENGTH = 16142 DSNT397I -DB2A NAME TYPE PART STATUS CONNID CORRID USERID -------- ---- ----- -------------- -------- ---------- ------- ******** NO SPACES FOUND ******* DISPLAY OF DATABASE DB42PCT ENDED *************** Please note that the expected index is not in the above list. Here follows the expected output list: -db2adis db(DB42PCT) SP(*) RESTRICT USE DSNT360I -DB2A *********************************** DSNT361I -DB2A * DISPLAY DATABASE SUMMARY * RESTRICTED USE DSNT360I -DB2A *********************************** DSNT362I -DB2A DATABASE = DB42PCT STATUS = RW DBD LENGTH = 16142 DSNT397I -DB2A NAME TYPE PART STATUS CONNID CORRID USERID -------- ---- ----- ----------- -------- --------- -------- PXPXPKPT IX L0001 RW,UTRW PXPXPKPT IX L* UTILITY REORG1 ADMF001 - ******* DISPLAY OF DATABASE DB42PCT ENDED *****************
Problem conclusion
Fix made in Db2 to correctly display the expected information on the NPI for the Display Database command with USE or RESTRICT USE keyword during REORG INDEX.
