Error description

  • The issue is that when the HEX-OF and BIT-OF intrinsic

    message is produced:

49 IGYPS2292-S Function argument "P" did not have the
    correct type for
                           function "HEX-OF[BIT-OF]". The
    statement was discarded.

    Affects V6.2 only

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
The compiler normally blocks pointer arguments for all intrinsic
functions, except LENGTH and BYTE-LENGTH. However, the
exception should have been extended to the HEX-OF and BIT-OF
    intrinsic functions to improve debugging.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was updated to allow pointer arguments for the
    HEX-OF and BIT-OF intrinsic functions.
