    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Issuing cancel thread in ISPF in *
    * Data sharing mode always returns *
    *                         'CQM163I - Cancel Thread has been    *
    *                         issued successfully'.                *
    * 2. Message like: 'Already started local *
    * portal, but was not able to connect *
    * to it at ...' may fill the log in *
    *                         some specifically configured         *
    *                         environment.                         *
    * 3. User can see an abnormal message *
    * "Unexpected end of JSON input" *
    * when try to open Exceptions *
    *                         in Archive Connection.               *
    *                      4. A huge number of getpages in         *
    *                         Object perspective                   *
    * (Current Activity and Exceptions). *
    * 5. Extra characters in the message *
    * about the absence of authorization *
    * in Cancel thread in CAE. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF and specify a new *
    * configuration CAE option during startup. *
    ****************************************************************
    1. Return code was not set correctly when issuing cancel thread
       in data sharing mode from ISPF, which caused displaying
       CQM163I message about successful cancel. In CAE Web client
       error message was returned, although it may have looked
       unclear.
    2. An environment might be configured in a way where java call
       of InetAddress.getLocalHost() returns non-local ip address as
       a result CAE server can't determine its own ip address and
       prints error message like: "Already started local portal, but
       was not able to connect to it at ..."
    3. When user opens an Exceptions Perspective from Archive
       Connection an error message "Unexpected end of JSON input"
       may appear.
    4. In some cases for Distributed threads an unreasonably large
       number of getpages could be displayed in Object perspective
       (Current Activity and Exceptions) in ISPF. CAE interface
       showed correct value.
    5. In some cases, extra characters are appeared in the message
       about the absence of authorization in Cancel thread in CAE.

Problem conclusion

  • 1. Correction of setting the return code and its processing in
       ISPF for cancel thread command for Data sharing mode. Error
       message in CAE Web client is not updated.
    2. Provide a configuration option CQM_CAE_LOCAL_ADDRESS for CAE
       server on USS and "-Dcom.rocketsoft.kbm.explicitLocalHost"
       java option for CAE server on Windows which allow user to
       explicitly specify local address for CAE server.
    3. Unexpected message in CAE Web client Exceptions Perspective
       from Archive Connection has been fixed.
    4. Logic was corrected to display exact number of getpages in
       Object perspective (Current Activity and Exceptions) and this
       value matches with value in CAE.
    5. Correction of authorization message in CAE Web client for
       Cancel Thread functionality.
