Error description
IBM Explorer for z/OS 3.1.1.3 does not import data set members when using a wildcard in the HLQ portion in the z/OS connect feature. Steps to reproduce : 1) Open the z/OS perspective 2) Connect an RSE connection 3) In the Data Set view, type in a data set filter using a wildcard in the HLQ portion (i.e. "USER*.JCL") 4) Open a data set member 5) When querying from the data set view, the HLQ contains the wildcard and any member is found.
Local fix
Avoid to use wildcard in the HLQ portion
Problem summary
IBM Explorer for z/OS 3.1.1.1 does not import data set members when using a wildcard in the HLQ portion in the z/OS connect feature.
Problem conclusion
When a wildcard is used in the HLQ to download members via the RSE-bridge for host connections, a folder with a wildcard is created to store the temp files which causes the import problems.
Temporary fix
