PH02092: RECEIVING DFHTD0170 DURING EMERGENCY RESTART

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After performing an Immediate shutdown, your CICS region failed
  with the following DFHTD0170 message during Emergency restart.
  DFHTD0170 The intrapartition data set has been corrupted.
            PIDS/5655Y0400 LVLS/710 MS/DFHTD0170 RIDS/DFHTDRM
            PTFS/HCI7100

  DFHTDRM is writing incorrect Transient Data state information
  into DFHLOG. This leads to the DFHTD0170 on an emergency start
  of CICS.
  

Local fix

• A Cold start is necessary to get the region running again.

  An active CICS system is using logically recoverable
  intrapartition transient data queues.
  CICS writes incomplete Syncpoint Prepare records to DFHLOG.
  If CICS terminates abnormally and is emergency-restarted
  then a mismatch can be found between the incorrect TD queue
  state in DFHLOG and the correct state in the DFHINTRA
  data set.
  This may result in the DFHTD0170 message or potentially in
  committed changes to the TDQueues not being honoured across an
  emergency restart.

Problem conclusion

• DFHTDRM has been corrected, and will now write complete
