APAR status

Error description

  • Disabling an application in Platform Symphony 7.1.1 returns the
following error:

Failed to disable application App_name : Domain <SOAM>: Internal
error: consumer Consumer_name cannot be located in the
m_resConsumerMap in function call
VEMResManagerBase::unregisterConsumer, consumer Consumer_name
might not be registered.

This error occurs when two applications share a consumer, with
one configured to use the full consumer path and another
configured to use the short consumer name in the application
profile. When one of the two applications is enabled and the SD
happens to restart, the ?soamcontrol app disable App_name?    €€
command fails. This interim fix provides a resolution for this
issue.
