    ****************************************************************
OMEGAMON Data Broker and OMEGAMON Data Connect both depend on
underlying software. In both cases, the version of that
    underlying software has been raised:

    - OMEGAMON Data Broker is a plug-in for the Zowe cross-memory
       server.

Previously, OMEGAMON Data Provider supplied the server from
       Zowe 1.28.2.

To take advantage of new server features, such as dynamic
version checking for plug-in compatibility, OMEGAMON Data
Broker requires a server from a more recent version of Zowe.

OMEGAMON Data Provider now supplies the server from Zowe
       2.12.0.

If you are an existing user of OMEGAMON Data Provider, then
you must upgrade your OMEGAMON Data Broker configuration
to use the newer server. This upgrade includes editing the
server PARMLIB configuration member to refer to a new
plug-in, ZISDYNAMIC, supplied as load module
       TKANMODP(KAYSISDL).

    - OMEGAMON Data Connect is a Java application developed using
       the Spring Boot framework.

Previously, OMEGAMON Data Connect used a version of Spring
Boot that is based on Java 8. That version of Spring Boot
has an end of support date of 24 November 2023.

To continue to take advantage of ongoing Spring Boot support,
including fixes and new features, OMEGAMON Data Connect now
uses a more recent version of Spring Boot that is based on
       Java 17.

If you are an existing user of OMEGAMON Data Provider, then
you must upgrade the Java runtime environment that you use
for OMEGAMON Data Connect to Java 17, or later, 64-bit
       edition.

    Other enhancements:

    - OMEGAMON Data Broker:

       - New MODIFY command to dynamically set the logging level
while OMEGAMON Data Broker is running. Previously, you
had to set the logging level in the configuration member,
and then restart the Zowe cross-memory server that runs
          OMEGAMON Data Broker.

    - OMEGAMON Data Connect:

       - Each output, including each TCP sink and each HTTP
endpoint, now has its own internal queue. Previously,
all outputs shared a single internal queue. If a
destination for one output was connected to OMEGAMON Data
Connect but not accepting data (for example, because it
was out of space), then all outputs were blocked, and no
destinations received data. Now, issues with the
destination of one output do not affect other outputs.

       - Kafka output now supports truststore and keystore SSL
parameters that refer to RACF key rings.
