Error description

• CDP V2.1 Data Handler 2023 1Q enhancement with these defects
  fixed:
  - Defining alternative hostnames for source systems function is
  not working.
  - java.lang.NullPointerException occurs in the Data Streamer log
  when cdp.properties is empty.
  - java.lang.IllegalArgumentException in Data Streamer when
  metrics is enable.
  
  And an enhancement:
  - CDP will enable Splunk to resolve the host name field
  automatically.

  - Defining alternative hostnames for source systems function is
  not working.
  The hostname is incorrectly added into the packets gathered by
  Log Forwarder which will break the function for alternative
  hostnames in Data Streamer.
  
  - java.lang.NullPointerException occurs in the Data Streamer log
  when cdp.properties is empty.
  CDP does not handle the empty cdp.properties correctly which
  will cause java.lang.NullPointerException error.
  
  - java.lang.IllegalArgumentException in Data Streamer when
  metrics is enable.
  The packet information is not correctly formatted for the metric
  report in Data Streamer which will cause
  java.lang.IllegalArgumentException.
  
  - The dynamic Data Streamer metrics does not work.
  Data Streamer checks the metric option only when it is
  initialized, so issuing console commands will not take effect.
  

Problem conclusion

• CDP v2.1 is updated to add the enhancement and fix these
  defects.
