**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Z Anomaly Analytics * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This is a Continuous Delivery PTF. See * * the Problem Summary for details. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: All users should install this PTF. * **************************************************************** (1) Beginning with service level 5.1.0.6, the IZOA_DBSID configuration parameter accepts a 1 to 16 character Db2 location name or a 4-character Db2 subsystem ID (SSID). Specifying a location name for this parameter causes problems, because for some uses a subsystem ID is needed. (2) Error "java.util.NoSuchElementException: None.get" is written when training for all systems and subsystems but none of the defined systems has a valid time zone specified Message AIHV040E should be written. (3) When izoaml.config configuration parameter IZOA_AUTO_EDW is set to false, the DDL created for a Db2 for z/OS administrator to use to create the enterprise data warehouse can contain lines greater than 72 characters in length. This can cause problems when uploading to z/OS. (4) Beginning with service level 5.1.0.7, the Problem Insights server did not support subsystems newly added to the metric-based machine learning system if the Problem Insights server was installed on z/OS UNIX System Services. (5) In some z/OS environments, one or several of the subsystem health plugins for the Problem Insights server could fail due to resource conflicts within the Problem Insights server application. (6) When installed on z/OS UNIX System Services, the Problem Insights server supported only two user IDs: - One administrative user ID (piadmin) - One non-administrative user ID (piuser)
Problem conclusion
(1) A new metric-based machine learning configuration parameter IZOA_DBLOCATION is added for specifying the location name of the Db2 for z/OS subsystem that hosts the enterprise data warehouse. If this property is set to a value other than 'none', it will be used to connect to Db2 for z/OS. Otherwise the value in IZOA_DBSID will be used to connect to Db2 for z/OS. If you currently have a Db2 for z/OS location name specified for the IZOA_DBSID configuration parameter in the izoaml .config configuration file, move that value to the IZOA_DBLOCATION configuration parameter during the upgrade process and change the value of IZOA_DBSID to the Db2 for z/OS subsystem ID (SSID) of the Db2 for z/OS subsystem that hosts the enterprise data warehouse. For more information, see the sample izoaml.config file in the $IZOA_HOME/samples directory. (2) Message AIHV040E, which indicated that time zone is missing from the subsystem definitions, is replaced by three new messages: - AIHV059E is used when training for all systems and subsystems - AIHV060E is used when training for a specific subsystem - AIHV061E is used when training for a specific system For more information, see "Metric-based machine learning: base messages" in the documentation. (3) The DDL is created with lines that are all 72 characters or less. (4) When installed on z/OS UNIX System Services, the Problem Insights server and its associated services now provide support for all subsystems supported by the metric-based machine learning system. The Problem Insights server continues to support capabilities that are NOT part of the metric-based machine learning system (e.g., z/OS topology, log-based machine learning) only when it is installed on Linux. (5) The subsystem health plugins for the Problem Insights server have been converted into stand-alone Java applications running on z/OS UNIX System Services. This eliminates the resource conflicts previously observed within the Problem Insights server. (6) The Problem Insights server on z/OS UNIX System Services is now accompanied by the same Keycloak authentication service that was previously available only on Linux. This service allows the definition of arbitrary numbers of administrative and non-administrative user IDs for the Problem Insights server. The predefined user IDs shipped with the product continue to be 'piadmin' and 'piuser'; both use 'changeme' as the default password.
