OA62425: HOD: 3270 SESSION USERS NOT ABLE TO ENTER TEXT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Chinese users are not able to input text in their HOD session
  with 037 United States Host Code page and Chinese system locale.
  
  Similarly, USA users are not able to enter text in their HOD
  session with 1388 PRC (Simplified Chinese) Host Code page and
  English system Locale. The same above behavior occurs under the
  HOD 14.0.4 refresh pack.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * There is bug in windows API, which is used to determine the  *
  * status of MSAA support in windows, it returns true even      *
  * though it is not enabled.                                    *
  * And the effect on Host On-Demand is, user cannot type        *
  * anything on the screen.                                      *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  To fix this at the product level, one can set "enableMSAA" value
  to the "false" in config.properties file location in Host
  On-Demand publish directory.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code changes have been made to fix the problem.
