• Log Forwarder may have high CPU consumption when collecting job

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Log Forwarder will scan the JES spool   *
  *                      periodically to detecting new jobs by   *
  *                      JES calls which will cause the high CPU *
  *                      consumption.                            *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF.                              *
  ****************************************************************
  Log Forwarder will now accept the '0' (zero) as a valid value
  for discovery interval for both job log, z/OS UNIX log file
  gatherers and also in the global settings to disable the scan
  which will improve the performance.
  

Problem conclusion

• CDP v2.1 is updated to add this support.
