APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer migrated from z/OS 2.1 to z/OS 2.2 and began
  experiencing Abend0C1 AbendU4039 and AIR056I on startup.
  OA53608 ptf's compiled PFA's C code with an architecture level
  that included instructions that were not supported on the
  customer's hardware.  The customer was on a CPU 2098 Z10.
  
  The abend0C1 occurred on an ALHSIK instruction.  This
  instruction and others were new and added with the z196 CPU.

  AIR056I on PFA startup.  OA53608 PTF compiled PFA's C code
  with compiler using an default architecture level that
  included instructions that were not supported on z10 machine.
  

Problem conclusion

• PFA's C code was recompiled with an architecture level that is
  supported on each specific z/OS release.
