OA51106: ABEND0C1 RSN01 BPXFVNL+??? EDCXSPRT INVALID INSTRUCTION USED (LT,LTG) TFS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• OMVS initialization is in progress and TFS file system /NMTMPS29
  is in the process of being mounted.  BPXFSMNT passes a vfs_mount
  operation to TFS.  Subsequently TFS ABEND0C1 RSN01 while
  processing in (LE) module  EDCXSPRT.  An LT/LTG instruction is
  executed resulting in the ABEND0C1 because the instruction is
  not supported by the z/OS Server system.
  
  PE Information:
  Users Affected: Users at release HBB7780 (z/OS V1R13) with APAR
                  OA49333 PTF UA80606) installed running on the
                  following hardware:
                    - IBM eServer
              - Series 990 (z990)
              - IBM eServer zSeries 890 (z890)
              - IBM eServer zSeries 900 (z900)
                    - IBM eServer zSeries 800 (z800)
  User Impact:   APAR OA49333 addresses a problem using the
                 Temporary File System (TFS) PFS. An invalid file
                 size may be reported with a TFS file that is
                 greater than two gigabytes.  V1R13 PTF UA80606
                 uses hardware instructions that are not supported
                 on the hardware listed above.
