**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: JES2 installations running HBB77A0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: New function APAR to modify the * * location requirements of the SCHEDULE * * JCL statement * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the SCHEDULE JCL statement (introduced in z/OS 2.2) is not the first statement in the job after the JOB statement, the job will fail with JCL error: IEFC019I MISPLACED SCHEDULE STATEMENT This requirement is too strict. Instead, the SCHEDULE statement should be required to reside after the JOB statement and prior to the first EXEC or IF statement.

JCL Converter processing is changed to issue JCL error message IEFC019I when the SCHEDULE statement is found after the first EXEC or IF statement in the job.
