OA48918: SITUATION THAT CHECKS BYTE RATE DOES NOT EVALUATE TO TRUE IF BYTE RATE EXCEEDS 2147483647

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A TEP situation was defined to test Byte Rate >= 2147483647. If
  the value of Byte Rate exceeds 2147483647, the situation will
  not evaluate to TRUE.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A TEP situation was defined to test     *
  *                      Byte Rate >= 2147483647. If the value   *
  *                      of Byte Rate exceeds 2147483647, the    *
  *                      situation will not evaluate to TRUE.    *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  If the byte rate for the TCP/IP address space exceeds the
  maximum value for a 4 byte signed integer, the situation
  will not evaluate to true.  Customers need to be able to
  test for byte rates which exceed a value of 2147483647.
  

Problem conclusion

• KN3TAS@S is changed to allow the byte rate to be properly
  evaluated in situations.
