LO83469: RETURN RECEIPT IS SEND IF DISPOSITION-NOTIFICATION-TO DOES NOT

Error description

• Return Receipt is send even If Disposition-Notification-To does
  not match the sender's address.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  
  1. Enable return receipt feature in domino server configuration
  document.
  2. Prepare the MIME message as below.
  
  Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 07:13:57 +0000 (GMT)
  From: <usera@testdomain.com>
  Reply-To: <usera@testdomain.com>
  To: <userc@testdomain.com>
  Subject: Test Return Receipt
  Disposition-Notification-To: <userb@testdomain.com>
  MIME-Version: 1.0
  
  Test Return Receipt
  
  3. Telnet the above stream to a user on your test server.
  4.  Open the message with the Notes client.
  5.  A return receipt will be generated to usera@testdomain.com
  
  [PROBLEM]
  8.5 Administrator help mentions as below.  The above mime
  message does not match Disposition-Notification-To and sender's
  address. However return receipt send to sender.
  
  (excerpted from administrator help "Enabling Domino to process
  return receipts for SMTP messages")
  Note  Domino does not map the Return Receipt request to one of
  the MIME headers if the address specified in the
  Disposition-Notification-To or Return-Receipt-To header does not
  match the sender's address. Domino sends return receipts only to
  the sender.
  
  I'm not sure this behavior is work as designed.
