LO67304: PHYSICAL PATHS APPEAR IN DBDIRMAN.NSF WHEN USING DATABASE LINKS.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer stores databases on a file system outside the Domino
  data directory. For example, if the data directory is
  /var/domino/data, mail files are stored in /var/mail. A database
  (not directory/folder) link is used for each individual mail
  file stored in this location to associate it with the
  /var/domino/data/mail directory. So the physical file
  /var/mail/db.nsf is at the logical location
  /var/domino/data/mail/db.nsf. This scheme worked without issue
  when customer was running 6.5.x. Since upgrading to 8.5.1 FP3,
  the customer now sees that dbdirman.nsf contains both the
  logical path (/var/domino/data/mail/db.nsf) and the physical
  path (/var/mail/db.nsf) as separate entries. This has been
  correlated with replication and out of office agent problems.
  When using a database link, only the logical path should be
  captured in dbdirman.nsf.
  

Local fix

• None. If you recreate dbdirman.nsf, it will initially contain
  just logical paths, but the physical paths will pop in over the
  next day or so.
