LO67295: CAN NOT CHANGE INSTALLTYPE FROM ENTERPRISESERVER TO MESSAGING SERVER ON SOLARIS

APAR status

  • Closed as user error.

Error description

  • 1st Method.

1. Install stand-alone domino server as Domino Enterrprise
Server
2. configure this server
3. start the server
4. then Shutdown the server. Check notes.ini , it will show
"InstallType=EnterpriseServer"
5. re-run the installation again keeping Program & Data
directory as previous &
only change the installation type as Domino Messaging Server
6. Once the installation is complete.Start the server to make
sure server start
as previous configuration.
7.  Check notes.ini , it will still show
"InstallType=EnterpriseServer" however
it should show as  "InstallType=MessagingServer".

2nd Method

1. Install stand-alone domino server as Domino Enterrprise
Server
2. configure this server
3. start the server
4. then Shutdown the server. Check notes.ini , it will show
"InstallType=EnterpriseServer"
5. Rename or delete program directory.
5. re-run the installation again keeping Data directory as
previous & only
change the installation type as Domino Messaging Server
6. Once the installation is complete.Start the server to make
sure server start
as previous configuration.
7.  Check notes.ini , it will still show
"InstallType=EnterpriseServer" however
it should show as  "InstallType=MessagingServer".
