Error description
Different results when "Importing" and "Adding" calendar from an .ics file If the ics file is "Added to the Show Calendars list" it appears to be correct but if the ics files is instead Imported into a user's personal calendar, the entries are placed in time slots set to a different timezone (timezone matches the timezone where the ics file was created) in this case later then it should be. It appears that the entries are using the UTC/GMT time rather than converting that to the local timezone STEPS TO REPRODUCE: Scenario 1 a) Double click on the ICS file from the file system and choose to "Import these entries into your personal calendar" OR from the Calendar View choose File>>Import>>Select .ics file>>Click on Import b) The Import Calendar dialog will come up with the Calendar Entries. Selecting OK to this dialog box will show a message that the calendar has been imported into Lotus Notes calendar c) Clicking OK to this Success message will display the entries in the Notes Calendar but the time is incorrect, not in the local time (in this case a few hours later) Scenario 2: a) Double click on the ICS file from the file system and choose to "Add this calendar to your Show Calendars list" instead b) After selecting OK to the above dialog will show a message that the calendar has been successfully added c) Clicking OK to this Success message will display the entries in the Notes Calendar and the time is correct according to the user's local timezone
Local fix
