Error description

  • API security BasicAuth with a special character "§" input
string, fails while using the Portal Try it feature for API
calls .For example: an user input of "myusername:my§password"
ends up to the following encoded authorization header:Basic
bXl1c2VybmFtZTpteadwYXNzd29yZA==
Whereas, UTF-8 encoding is expected to return the following to
make it work:Basic bXl1c2VybmFtZTptecKncGFzc3dvcmQ=

  • Some special characters were not being sent correctly for basic
auth credentials on testing an API secured in that way in the
developer portal
