Error description
If the output response variable in the invoke policy is specified with a value of "message", the policy will fail if the policy has a stop-on-error specified or is not the last policy in the API.
Local fix
Do not specify the response variable value at all as it will default to message if not specified.
Problem summary
The invoke policy in this case was issuing an apim.setvariable function call for "message". This function called an internal function only used in this use case which used an undefined variable that caused an exception to be thrown. The invoke policy was changed to treat the specification of this policy property to be the same as not specified at all, which assumes "message" as a default but takes a different code path. The internal function was also corrected.
