LI80440: PORTAL AUTO LOGOUT DOES NOT WORK WHEN LOGGED IN AS ADMIN AND ON ADMIN PAGES

APAR status

• Closed as user error.

Error description

• With the inactivity time set to 30 minutes before automated log
  out, the log out does not happen for the admin user when they
  are on an administration page, for example: Home >
  Administration > Configuration > People.  It will work if they
  are on the home page.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The auto-logout setting does not appear to apply to the admin
  user on some pages.
  

Problem conclusion

• By default the auto-logout option does not run if you are on
  administration pages. If you want to make it do so then you can
  enable that option.
  
  On v5 login to the portal as an Administrator
  Configuration->People->Automated logout settings and scroll to
  the bottom of the page
  Check the checkbox for "Enforce auto logout on admin pages" and
  click 'Save configuration'
