JR65081: DB2Z REMOTE ISSUES EVENT 9827 FOR EXISTING INSTANCES WHEN PROCESSING DDL IF DB2Z IS UPGRADED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Db2z remote issues event 9827 for existing instances when
  processing DDL if Db2z is upgraded and SYSTABLES or SYSCOLUMNS
  have different schemas.
  
  If the user upgrades Db2z and in the new version the schema of
  SYSTABLES or SYSCOLUMNS has changed, i.e. if the DDL of these
  tables is different, when DDL is seen in any existing CDC
  instance event 9827 E_CDC_SCRAPE_UNPARSABLE_SYSTEM_TABLE_OP is
  issued.
  

Local fix

• Export all subscriptions, drop and recreate the instance, then
  import the subscriptions into the new instance. This will force
  CDC to pick up the new SYSTABLES and SYSCOLUMNS table
  definitions.
