JR64271: RESOURCE REGISTRY DBA-RR PODS IN ERROR STATE AND CANNOT BE RECOVERED BY OPERATOR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• There is no recover process happen for the resource registry
  pods deployed by operator.
  For the pods in name like: <cr-name>-dba-rr-<random values> in
  state error. The operator should recover that and build new
  pods. But when this error happens. Operator failed to rebuild
  that and made the pods kept in error state.
  You can manually fix that by using OpenShift APIs or third party
  tools to remove custom resource status. Or you can use operator
  with this fix to make that happen.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• In custom resource. If complex error info included in status
  field. Operator code may report error which caused the reconcile
   fail.

Problem conclusion

• This APAR will fix operator related code to fix the complex
  status field and fix resource registry pods.
