APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When refresh is performed, if the IIDR for DataStage system
parameter "ds_output_timestamp_utc=true" (this is default) the
journal time (DM_TIMESTAMP - first column of the flat file) was
LOCAL time when the source is IIDR for iSeries. With this fix
journal time should be now UTC.

Problem summary

* This issue might affect you if you are using IIDR 11.3.3 or  *
* 11.4 IF 4 or older for Db2 i as a source engine, and         *
* replicating to IDR for DataStage.                            *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* The DM_TIMESTAMP value in flat files had the local timestamp *
* of the Db2 for i source, rather than showing the value in    *
* UTC.                                                         *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Upgrade to IIDR 11.4 IF 5 or newer for Db2 i.                *
****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Upgrading to IIDR 11.4 IF 5 or newer for Db2 i resolves the
issue.
