In a process application process, if "Optimize execution for latency" is set for the process, "Automatically flow to next task" is set for the human services in the process, and a service task exists between those human services, completing a task by using a REST API fails. Local fix
Don't use the REST API to complete a task when the following task of an autoflowed task is a service. Instead, use the Business Automation Workflow Portal to complete the task.
Problem summary
When you use a REST API to complete tasks, the transaction is paused and the information is unavailable to calculate the following task if an autoflowed task is followed by a service task.
