Error description

  • If a case solution is created from a base template in IBM
Business Automation Workflow V20.0.0.1, an activity implemented
as a process will have unresolved task implementations when the
case starts. No errors are shown in IBM Process Designer.

Local fix

  • Modify and save the process in Process Designer. The runtime
artifacts are updated with the correct task implementation
identifiers.

Problem summary

  • When the template for the project is duplicated, the task
implementation identifiers are not set in the runtime artifacts.
 The task starts; however, the task completes immediately
because there is nothing for the task to run.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available or will be available that correctly
duplicates the template.
