JR61813: AN ERROR IS LOGGED RELATED TO RETRIEVING INSTALLATION MESSAGES WHILE YOU INSTALL A SNAPSHOT TO AN ONLINE WORKFLOW SERVER

Error description

• When installing a snapshot to an online IBM Workflow Server, you
  see the following warning:
  
  "Could not retrieve the installation messages from server
  MyServer."
  
  An error message similar to the following message appears in the
  log files:
  
  The following error occurred when attempting to retrieve
  messages from the Process Server using address:
  https://MyServer/ProcessServerInternal/installMessages
  at
  com.lombardisoftware.server.ejb.repositoryservices.InstallMessag
  esSupport.getInstallMessages(InstallMessagesSupport.java:205)
  ...
  Caused by: java.io.InvalidClassException:
  com.lombardisoftware.client.persistence.autogen.InstallMessageAu
  toGen; local class incompatible: stream classdesc
  serialVersionUID = 6509430725907988993, local class
  serialVersionUID = -8198219141298681226
  
  This error occurs only when the IBM Workflow Center version is
  older than 19.0.0.1 and the Workflow Server version is 19.0.0.1
  or later.
  

Local fix

• You can ignore the error and check the Workflow Server logs to
  determine the deployment status. To resolve this issue, upgrade
  Workflow Center.
  

Problem summary

• The installation message retrieval APIs changed. Backward
  compatibility was not provided.
