APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • CDC is failing with redo log not found error in manual log
shipping when it is configured with primary system having
RAC+ASM.

Local fix

  • There is no workaround for it and customer has to switch to
different log reading mode.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* CDC is failing with redo log not found error in manual log   *
* shipping when it is configured with primary system having    *
* RAC+ASM and bringing files outside ASM using ASMCMD and      *
* files are registered using dmarchivedlogavailable.           *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Upgrade to IDR 11.4.0.2-5503 or newer for Oracle.            *
****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Upgrading to IDR 11.4.0.2-5503 or newer for Oracle resolves the
issue.
