Error description
The customer gets "permission denied" errors randomly for during startup of PX jobs on Windows Server 2008 R2. The errors may be related to the port security setting in the server firewall. The error comes in the PX code which looks for TCP ports to use for PX inter-process communication. When the error happens, the port which PX is trying to bind is "in use" by other application. The PX code is failing the job because there is a permission error. But there is no need to fail the job, PX should just keep looking for an available port and and continue starting up the job.
Local fix
Problem summary
A patch changes the code so that PX ignores the port permission error and just keeps looking for an available TCP port
Problem conclusion
Install the patch.
