APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In SQL Replication on Linux, UNIX, and Windows V10.5
Fix Pack 7 and later, when the DB2 database configuration
parameter LOG_APPL_INFO is set to YES, the Capture program
can receive an SQLCODE -311 error when it tries to insert
the value of 'Application Identifier' from the Application
Information log record into the IBMSNAP_AUTHTKN column of
the IBMSNAP_UOW table.

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The 'Application Identifier' field of the
'Application Information' log record can contain a value
that is longer than than the 30-character limit for the
IBMSNAP_AUTHTKN column, causing the SQL error.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • With this fix, Capture truncates the application
identifier to fit the IBMSNAP_AUTHTKN column.
