Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM Business Process Manager V8.5.0.1 * * Advanced, Standard, and Express * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Web Services Description Language * * (WSDL) file defines the SOAP * * operations. Each operation might * * contain a SOAPAction tag. The * * SOAPAction tag is optional. If the * * web service contains WS-Security, * * then the SOAPAction must contain the * * content that the security handler * * requires to process the message * * correctly. * * In this case, the WSDL file does not * * contain the SOAPAction tag or it * * contains empty SOAPAction tags. The * * WS-Security related option has not * * been configured. When the SOAP * * request is generated, a default SOAP * * action is generated by the operation * * name and port. For some web service * * providers, such as Tomcat server, the * * server returns the following error: * * The given SOAPAction * * <SOAPAction_Name> does not match an * * operation. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When you use an outbound web service to invoke a web service provider that runs on Tomcat you might receive the following error: com.lombardisoftware.component.common.workflow.WorkflowProcessIt emException: The given SOAPAction <SOAPAction_Name> does not match an operation.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available that updates the code logic on the SOAP action generation. The default SOAP action is no longer added to the request if no WS-Security related options are configured.
