JR48007: UPDATE/DELETE OPERATION FAILS WHEN AN USER DEFINED TYPE COLUMN IS PART OF THE KEY

Error description

• UPDATE/DELETE operation on the target fails when a distinct user
  defined type is part of the key/unique index.
  Database operation failed.
  A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '-401'. The
  SQL state is: 42818. The error message is:
  DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-401, SQLSTATE=42818, SQLERRMC==,
  DRIVER=3.65.77
  
  A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '-727'. The
  SQL state is: 56098. The error message is:
  DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-727, SQLSTATE=56098,
  SQLERRMC=2;-401;42818;=, DRIVER=3.65.77
  

Local fix

• Avoid using user defined type in the key/unique index.
  

Problem summary

• ISCDC 6.5.2 for DB2 LUW stops with the following
  error if the table has a column with user defined type:
  
  A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '-401'. The
  SQL state is: 42818. The error message is:
  DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-401, SQLSTATE=42818, SQLERRMC==,
  DRIVER=3.65.77
  
  A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '-727'. The
  SQL state is: 56098. The error message is:
  DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-727, SQLSTATE=56098,
  SQLERRMC=2;-401;42818;=, DRIVER=3.65.77
  
  This issue affects users running ISCDC 6.5.2 for DB2 LUW.
  

Problem conclusion

• As a workaround please modify the advance JDBC parameters in
  the configuration tool and set it to:
  
  progressiveStreaming=2;currentFunctionPath="SYSIBM","SYSFUN","SY
  SPROC","SYSIBMADM","<SCHEMA>"
  
  where "<SCHEMA>" is schema the user defined type is created.
