Error description
DataStage 8.1 FP1 jobs with transformer stages that define integer constants that exceed 32 bits in magnitude may fail to compile.
Local fix
No workaround available.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: 8.1 Fix Pack 1 DataStage users that have transformer stages that contain definitions of large integer constants. **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Parallel Framework jobs containing transformer stages which compiled in DataStage 7.5.1 fail to compile in 8.1 FP1. The compilation fails if the transformer defines an integer constant which exceeds 32 bits in magnitude. The generated transformer "initialize" code segment put an "LL" at the end of the decimal assignment, for example: stage0InterVar0_0.assignFromSInt64(1234567890122.999957153854LL) **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Apply the patch for JR37732. The fix is included in version 8.5. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
The implementation of transformer integer constant generation was fixed.
