Error description
8.0.1 FP1 AIX 5.3 SAP PACK 5.3 SAP ECC 6.0 They want the above patch modified so they do not need to set environment variable DSR3_IDOC_PX_RESET set to 1 in px jobs. The reason for this is they have lots of jobs that requires this option. Also setting it to a default value of 1 will throw off the the other jobs because it will process the wrong IDOC if the job completes.
Local fix
Problem summary
Enhancement request: Automate resetting of Parallel jobs. Currently the user has to manually set DSR3_IDOC_PX_RESET or DS_PX_RESET (due to a limitation of the Parallel framework)
Problem conclusion
This was resolved in the core components in IIS 8.5 and later. When resetting a job via DS Director, the framework now automatically sets the environment variable DS_PX_RESET to 1 for the next run of the job. This ensures an internal reset will be executed by the stages implementing this functionality (this includes the ABAP, IDOC, BW Load and Extract stages) For IIS versions prior to 8.5 the user still has to manually set this variable.
Temporary fix
