Error description
An implicit describe request may be done via the DB2 OLEDB provider or the CLI driver to get some information about a curso r. This was happening even if the cursor gets closed at the ser ver. . A describe request on a closed cursor is not allowed, and it may cause abends (for example if the server is z/DB2).
Local fix
Problem summary
Users Affected: CLI/OLEDB applications. Problem Description: The DB2 CLI/OLEDB provider should not be issuing a DESCRIBE request if the cursor for that particular statement was already closed.
