Error description
Situations are not started for the subnodes when the agent was switched from Hub to a RTEMS and the Hus was leter recycled. RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS: documented in Defect 89613.
Local fix
recycle the TEMS
Problem summary
Situations are not started for subnodes when the parent management agent proxy was switched from one management server to another and the hub was later recycled. Distributions of a situation to subnodes can be missing if all of the following occur in this sequence: 1. A situation is distributed through a managed system list to subnodes at two different management servers. 2. A management agent proxy hosting some of the subnodes in the managed system list switches between the management servers. 3. The management server hosting the management agent proxy later resynchronizes with the hub management server (due to a network or other issue).
Problem conclusion
The code was changed to expand managed system lists for subnodes that belong to a management agent proxy that has switched. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | fix pack | 6.2.2-TIV-ITM-FP0003 | fix pack | 6.2.1-TIV-ITM-FP0004
Temporary fix
Recycle the management servers hosting the management agent proxy.
